I shot Nick and Stephanies wedding last fall, and that day their son Mason reminded me so much of my own son. Cute, sweet, charming and ALL BOY! I was really excited when Stephanie emailed me about family photos. We met at Stony Creek Metropark late in the afternoon and walked around. It was a great time and Mason was perfect, he was so much fun to photograph! I really love these family pics!

The susser family at home

Regan & Noah have been married for some time now and have never gotten a portrait taken since their wedding. I think it’s so important for couples to document their years together in pictures. It’s a fun experience for you as a couple, and it’s really important for future generations of your family. I love looking at old pictures of my parents before they were “mom” and “dad.” It’s an interesting glimpse into the past. We had a great time shooting Noah and Regan and best of all it was the end of December and we were all in sweaters.

I shot the McDonald Family at their home in White Lake. It was such a cold day, with all of the warm weather we have had in December it’s to bad that this day could not have been a little nicer. We were able to capture some nice family shots inside.

This shoot was a 70th birthday party at Henry Ford Village. Mary’s family thru her a wonderful party and Jayson and I came to take family formals in the beginning and then capture Mary enjoying her family and friends. It was a beautiful party and we had a really nice evening photographing the extended family.

The Ibrahim family was so wonderful. Adora and Kenny are the nicest people, and while we were shooting you could really tell that they take great joy in their children. I have to say, the shoot was tough and I’m happy we shot with two photographers. Dominick is the epitome of an 18-month old–he was in constant motion! Luckily I have an 18-month old, so it was really like any day in the Trantham household. Everyone was such a trooper, even at the park. The sun went down so fast and it got COLD, so we wrapped it up quickly but I am glad that we were able to get some really great shots of the kids playing. Adora, thank you so much for allowing us into your home to shoot you, your husband and your great kids!

Maximus is at the perfect age for photographs. At seven months old he can sit up by himself, yet he can’t crawl away! It’s kind of like he’s at my mercy. The fact is for as many outfit and backdrop changes he was put through he did a GREAT job. There are so many wounderful shots from this session it’s had to pick just a few for the blog. Brad and Lora have an absolutly beautiful backyard, and I just love the colors outside. They were also so flexible and open to ideas, thanks so much!

The Drummond family was an extended family session with members from all parts of the US. They were all in town for a family wedding at Henry Ford Estates and wanted to have portraits taken while everyone was together. I think it’s so important to do this. Rarely does a family get together, especially when they are spread across the county. It had been a rainy week I’m so glad that the weather broke for a little bit in the morning and we were able to take some nice family shots.
