For Lindsay and Adrian’s Engagement session we walked around the UofM campus. It started out so cold that day, but by the time we started the session, it was a perfect winter day. This session was so hard to schedule because we really wanted to have a great snowy day. I think things turned out really well, I can’t wait for their wedding in June.

Tyler and Danielle are having their reception at one of my favorite places, Fore Lakes Golf Club in Kimball MI. For their engagement session we walked around the same spot on a very cold winter day. Jayson and I had a lot of fun, and we can’t wait till their wedding!!

I met Brennan and Kate downtown for their engagement session. Since Brennan kind of wanted to be married downtown and logistically it did not work out they decided to have the city as the backdrop for their engagement session instead. It was a great August afternoon and I had a wonderful time getting to know Kate and Brennan and I’m excited for their July 08 wedding.

Jennifer and Steven’s engagement session was also at the University of Michigan. One of my favorite pictures is the first one I posted below. I love the symmetry of it. I usually don’t take shots that are so symmetrical, but this one is almost a mirror image. I was hoping to have a little nicer weather it was COLD! We are shooting their wedding in the fall and I’m sure we will enjoy ourselves. Jenny and Steven were really easy to work with, and even remarked that they felt more comfortable in front of the camera then they expected. It really shows in their pictures!

For Jen and Mike’s engagement session we walked around the University of Michigan Student Union, I love some of the spots at the union. The tall windows are so grand it’s hard to believe it’s a public space. We all even braved the cold February weather and walked over to the law quad. Jen and Mike are so easy to work with and I am sure Jayson and I are going to have a great time shooting their wedding.

Regan & Noah have been married for some time now and have never gotten a portrait taken since their wedding. I think it’s so important for couples to document their years together in pictures. It’s a fun experience for you as a couple, and it’s really important for future generations of your family. I love looking at old pictures of my parents before they were “mom” and “dad.” It’s an interesting glimpse into the past. We had a great time shooting Noah and Regan and best of all it was the end of December and we were all in sweaters.

We shot Meghan and Mark’s engagement session in downtown Detroit and had so much fun! The weather was great and Meghan and Mark were up for anything! We got so many creative shots around the city that included some special places for Mark and Megan as well as a few suggestions form Jayson and I that turned out great. This was defiantly one of my favorite sessions this year. We are looking forward to shooting their wedding in August!

Jennifer & Kevin’s engagement photos were take at Bell Isle in Downtown Detroit. The session went great and we were so happy to be able to do this for them. Belle Isle is a great place to shoot and there were lots of opportunities for beautiful photographs. I think my favorite part was pulling over on the way out and catching the sun setting with the Detroit skyline in the background.
